Every year anadromus fish enter our rivers to carry out their reproduction process. A process thats gone on for centuries, for generations. Each year anglers look forward to this process for action packed fishing outings and celebrations through bent rods. As a guide I work hard to be on the forefront of the first push of anadromus fish, the Shad. By knowing the exact timing of these fish and when they enter the river systems I can strategically target what I call the “game changer.” Don’t get me wrong, I love to catch Shad but I’m a Winter Striper Angler and I know what chases the first run of Shad….. the Cows.
