Looks like they are going to release a slug of water on the Roanoke. There are certainly pros and cons of man controlling mother nature…… Increased flows or slugs of water can move fish at the drop of a hat. It can also make fish feed suddenly and shut off suddenly. As a pro guide I do what it takes to keep my customers on the best bite possible. Sometimes it’s jumping in the truck and changing zip codes, sometimes it’s a 20 mile run by boat, sometimes you tie on that lure your customer brought. You know, the one they haven’t made in 10 years…… As a matter of fact almost all our fish yesterday came on hard baits and Zman that are no longer in production (private stock). Like I say, anything to get the bite!
